Yoga for Post-Injury or Post-Surgical Recovery  

Let's get you back to movement through yoga with our 6 week virtual program!

The Purpose of the Program

Whether your injury was to the shoulder, ankle, or back; the road to recovery looks very similar for most people:

  • slowly returning to movement

  • re-establishing mobility

  • building up strength

And yet, the most important outcome of recovery is that YOU are able to do THE most important activities to YOU (at an acceptable degree).

    Yoga is a wonderful mindfulness practice that can help you explore your "new" body and improve your confidence to return to the activities you love. 

With the "Return to Movement:  Yoga for Post-Injury or Post-Surgical Recovery" Program, you will be joining a small, virtual and intimate group of others moving towards movement again!

How It Works

COMMUNITY

​

  • access to a small private group with other members seeking ongoing daily support and sense of community during recovery.

​

TECHNIQUE-BUILDING

​

  • 6 technique-building livestream sessions delivered on Saturdays at 11:00am (one per week) that will address troubleshooting each of the major pressure points for returning to movement with yogic principles. All sessions will be available for playback during the 6 week session:

BALANCING STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY IN FULL BODY MOVEMENTS

PRACTICE

  • Three (30-minute livestream) classes delivered on Mondays from 5:30-6:00pm (every other week) throughout the program to integrate and apply what has been practiced (playback option available).

​

REPORTING PROGRESS

  • Three virtual coffee/tea chats (every other week) on Wednesdays at noon to discuss the healing progress of our participants (playback option available).

​

ONE-ONE-ONE SUPPORT

  • A 10 minute (one-on-one) virtual check-in with Janet, (if needed) at a convenient time for both parties.

​

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO PRACTICE

  • A one month reduced price membership to Pearl Live! (our virtual platform) to be used in April, May or June 2021.
