That's precisely why Pearl is hosting an incredible self-defense workshop. The two-hour workshop is absolutely perfect for women who want to increase their confidence in identifying and navigating situations that involve a physical threat.

Self-defense is so much more than just what happens during a physical altercation. It begins way before that moment and continues long after. It's the majority of what we do leading up to any potential conflict that genuinely matters. 

Our actions and mindset before it gets physical are often the most critical aspects of self-defense.

So, if you're yearning to learn the art of self-defense and want to cultivate an unshakable sense of confidence, this workshop is for you. 

It's not just about mastering physical techniques (although that's important). It's also about understanding and managing self-defense's mental and emotional aspects. Because, let me tell you, control of our minds and emotions can often prevent conflicts from ever arising.

This workshop offers a harmonious blend of physical techniques alongside an exploration of the mental and emotional aspects of self-defense.

The workshop is being offered by the incredible Tony Costa, a true master in his craft. Tony brings a wealth of wisdom from his background as a Zen Buddhist, Certified Yoga Teacher, and lifelong Martial Artist.

Workshop Details

Date: Sunday April 21, 2024 Time: Noon to 2pm (two-hour workshop) Participant Cost: $35/person Max attendance: 16 What to Bring/Wear: Wear comfortable clothes.  Bring water. 

Additional Information: 

  • There will not be actual fighting/sparing or taking throws, but it is recommended that participants be comfortable practicing physical techniques with a partner.

  • Young people with the maturity to stay focused throughout the workshop are welcome to come.
